Disclaimer: Flashing a firmware is not without risks. Flashing new firmware may invalidate the warranty. There are no guarantees that your device will work after flashing new firmware. Failures are rare, but they do happen. If you don't do it properly, you might render your phone inoperable. If you decide to proceed we won't be liable to whatever might get wrong (neither we could provide technical support). If you use pit file please make sure 16GB or 8GB or 32GB because the 8 GB pit don’t work with 16GB make sure you use the correct firmware for your device.

To flash your Samsung smartphone, you need Odin software made available to the Samsung Galaxy users for flashing a range of things including firmware, custom recovery, CF-Auto-Root and more. Odin performs a clean install that means; it removes the old firmware and flashes a new one. Also you need the Samsung USB drivers. I recommend installing the correct version of Samsung Kies. The battery on your Samsung device needs to be fully charged, before starting the flashing process.

Troubleshooting
If the flash does not complete successfully, there are two possible outcomes:
  • A "soft-brick" occurs when there is a failure in the USB connection. In most cases, flashing the firmware again fixes the problem.
  • A "hard-brick" occurs when the wrong firmware is used to flash the device. The problem usually involves the bootloaders. A "hard-brick" may require returning the device to Samsung for repair.
  • When the device fails to connect to a cellular network, it is an indication that the firmware did not match the communication protocols used by the cellular network to which it is connected. You need to go back and choose the correct firmware.
